Between the Central Government and Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda, an agreement worth Rs 10 thousand crore has been reached. According to the news agency ANI, during the World Food India 2017, the MOU of Rs 10 thousand crore between the Indian government and Patanjali has been signed on Friday. During the agreement, the Chief Minister of Central Processing Food Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Patanjali’s CEO Acharya Balkrishna were present.
Patanjali is the only Indian company that has been invited in this food festival. Companies in 40 countries were invited to participate in the Fest. Founder of Patanjali Ayurveda Baba Ramdev and Balakrishna had said in May this year that the turnover of the company was Rs 10,561 crore in the financial year 2016-17. The Government of India signed MoU with Patanjali as its annual turnover.

Earlier, many state governments had already signed agreements like providing land for food parks with Patanjali. In the beginning of this year, the BJP government of Haryana finalized 53 acres of land deal with Patanjali for medicinal cultivation. Patanjali is operating in the financial year 2017-18 with the estimated 100 percent growth.
